1. Tickets to events
Colorblind people are fun, so gifting them a ticket to an event is a classic and safe choice.
2. A stylish NotActually.RED T-shirt
Well, this brand is invented by a colorblind man, that will help us colorblind men to embrace our uniqueness with a shirt that just makes sense. Bonus: You have a sense of humor. And it is not the boring “colortest-circle-print” t-shirt.
3. Colorblind-friendly Board Games
I once played MasterMind Board Game with a co-worker that just would not beat me. Some games are just not for us. But fun people like to play. So look for games with symbols, and games not dependent on color. Shows that you care to go the extra mile to find anything else than MasterMind.
4. Something tasty
You cant’ go wrong with this. Well you probably can, but it is a great gift, that requires you to know a little about someones taste preferences.
5. Clothes
I hate shopping clothes. I buy jeans and black t-shirts. If you can find me a matching outfit that goes great with my eyes, I’d be sold. If you tell me it looks good afterwards – wow!
5. Tools and gadgets
Even us colorblind men need to fix stuff. Maybe not something to do with electrical wires, but the rest is a safe choice.
6. Round cans of liquid beverage
Yes, this color I know, mostly by name. I am not going to promote anything here. A safe bet is to know what that person prefer or likes.
7. A notActually.RED Beanie?
Everybody can get cold ears. This brand is just a brand, but made by a colorblind man that cares very little about colors. Just pick one 😀
8. Multiple pair of socks
I sometimes wear one dark blue and one black sock. Nothing wrong with that. But buy me a complete set of socks, in the same color, or a set with different patterns.
“Clown socks?” I do not care, as long as I can identify a pair., they go into my shoes. Nobody studies my feet in the open.
9. Books about whatever hobby he is into
A book about my trade or about any of my hobbies would be something I would love, just not a coloring book, and we are good.
10. A Gift Card to their favorite store
It should probably not be a cloting store. This offers freedom of choice and is a safe bet for anyone.
Colorblind men are like most men, just avoid things that depend on color, and you are good to go. When you search for list like these, a certain pair of glasses will be on most list. We colorblind people would love to try them, I have a pair, I got them as a gift and I thought it was fun. But it is no cure, and most colorblind people won’t like that gift. It is a risk, that’s why I did not include it on mine.
